Both come with one rule we do not bend on. Nobody gets paid to pretend. Every partner you see got the cookies first, said what they actually think, and told you they are a partner. That is the whole arrangement.
Part A. The BS-Free Partner Program
1. Joining
Apply by email to info@insideoutcookie.com with your handle, your platform, and who your audience is. We approve by hand and can decline or remove anyone. You must be 18 or older, based in the United States, and have a real audience or business relationship that fits our brand. We do not accept coupon-aggregator sites, sites that bid on our brand name in search ads, or anyone who has been removed from another program for fraud.
There are three ways in:
- The Flock. Real customers who already post their boxes. You get a personal code to share and perks when it gets used.
- Creators. We send a box, no strings. If you love it, we talk about a paid post you write in your own words. If you do not, no post, no hard feelings.
- Affiliates. Tracked links and codes with a revenue share, for partners with real audiences: newsletters, podcasts, local media.
Nick personally approves every creator and affiliate partner. Nothing goes out under his name that he has not waved through.
2. What you get
Commission. Our standard affiliate commission is 15% of the order subtotal, before shipping, tax, and discounts, on qualifying orders placed through your unique link or code. Your rate, your cookie window, and whether subscription renewals pay are the ones set in your approval email; if your approval email says something different from the standard rate, your approval email wins.
Wholesale orders, gift card purchases, your own orders, orders that are refunded or charged back, and orders using a code you were not issued do not qualify.
Customer code. Approved partners get a code that gives a new customer 10% off their first order.
Payment. Monthly, for the previous month's commissions, once your balance clears the minimum stated in your approval email. Commissions on an order become payable 30 days after the order ships, so refunds and chargebacks come out first. We can withhold or reverse commissions earned by breaking these terms. You are responsible for your own taxes; we send a 1099 where the law requires it.
Product. We may send free product for you to try and show. Free product is not a payment for a positive review, and you are not required to post at all. If you do post, section 3 applies.
3. Disclosure: the part that is law
The FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and its rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) require that anyone with a material connection to us says so, clearly and where the audience will see it, every time. "Material connection" includes commission, free product, a discount code, an affiliate link, a paid post, or working for us.
You must:
- Put a clear disclosure at the start of the post, video, story, live, or caption, before any "more" cut: #ad, #sponsored, "paid partnership with Inside Out Cookie", or "I earn a commission if you buy through my link." On video and audio, say it out loud as well as in text. On a live, repeat it periodically. On a story, put it on every frame that mentions us.
- Use the platform's paid-partnership tool where one exists (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), in addition to the words above, not instead of them.
- Taste it before you talk about it. Say only what you actually experienced. If you have not eaten the cookie, do not describe eating it. If you did not like a flavor, you can say so; we would rather have that than a fake rave.
- Write your own words. We send facts, never scripts.
- Make no claims we have not cleared: nothing about health, weight, protein content beyond what the label says, "all natural," allergens, or anything a cookie cannot do.
- Be truthful about the price and the offer. If a code is 10% off, it is 10% off. No "50% off" hooks.
You must not:
- Hide the disclosure in a wall of hashtags, put it only in a bio, or use vague words like "thanks Inside Out Cookie" or "#partner" alone.
- Post fake reviews, buy followers or engagement for our content, or post reviews on our site or any retailer as if you were an ordinary customer.
- Trash competitors on our dime.
- Manufacture urgency or scarcity that is not real.
- Bid on "Inside Out Cookie" or our misspellings in search ads, register domains with our name, or run ads that look like they are from us.
- Send unsolicited email or texts with our links (CAN-SPAM and TCPA apply to you too).
- Post content that is hateful, harassing, sexual, dangerous, or about illegal drug use, even as a joke, next to our brand.
We monitor. A post without a disclosure gets one warning and a request to fix it; a second one, or any fake review, ends the relationship and forfeits unpaid commissions. The FTC can fine both of us for a missing disclosure, which is why the rule is not negotiable.
4. Our content and yours
You may use the photos, video, and copy we give you in the partner kit, unaltered except for cropping, while you are in the program. Content you create about us stays yours; by posting it with our link or code you give us permission to reshare it on our channels and in our ads with credit, unless you tell us in writing not to. We do not buy the rights to your content through this program; any paid usage beyond resharing is a separate written deal.
5. Ending it
Either of us can end the relationship any time by email. Commissions already earned and not forfeited are paid on the normal schedule. Remove our links and any "official partner" language within 7 days of leaving.
6. Nothing else is promised
This program does not make you our employee, agent, or partner. You cannot make promises on our behalf. We can change the commission rate, the terms, or the program with 30 days email notice; a change does not touch commissions already earned.
Part B. Customer referrals (the Rewards program)
Our referral program runs inside the Rewards widget on this site, provided by Loloyal.
7. How it works
Share your referral link from the Rewards widget. When a friend who has never ordered from us before places a first order through your link, they get a discount on that order and you get store credit to use on your next one. The current give and get, and any minimum order, are shown in the Rewards widget itself; that is the live offer and it is what applies. Your credit appears in your Rewards account once the friend's order has shipped and the refund window has passed.
8. Rules
- Your friend must be a genuinely new customer: a new email, a new address, a new card. Referring yourself, a household member, or an existing customer under a new email does not count and voids the credit.
- One referral reward per referred friend. There is no limit on how many friends you refer, but we can cap total credit per referrer, and any cap is shown in the widget.
- Do not post your referral link on coupon sites, in paid ads, or in unsolicited messages. Share it with people you actually know.
- Rewards and points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be combined with another discount code on the same order unless the offer says so. Any expiry is shown in the widget.
- Referral rewards apply to one-time orders. They do not stack onto subscription pricing.
- We can reverse rewards earned through fraud, refunds, or chargebacks, and can close Rewards accounts that abuse the program.
- If you are telling friends about us in public, in a post or a video, because you earn credit for it, say so. "I get a credit if you use my link" is enough.
- We can change or end the program with notice inside the widget and on this page. Credit already earned stays usable for a reasonable period after any end date, and we will tell you what that period is when we announce it.
9. Privacy
Referral links carry a code, not your name. Your friend sees "a friend sent you" and your first name if you choose. We do not email the person you referred unless they order or opt in themselves. Details in the Privacy Policy.
